Hi Gerry, Tim and Flor. Well, I've managed to avoid the re-install option. On Paul Traynor's advice, I tried System Restore and it worked a treat. Mind you, I should point out that I had to remove AVG2013 In order for System Restore to run properly. Anyway, all is well now. Thanks again to all -----Original Message----- From: vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Flor Lynch Sent: 04 June 2013 15:26 To: vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vicsireland] Re: Retrieving Default Eloquence rofiles For JAWS Hi Paul, Do you have an alternative screen-reader on your computer? If you're going to have to reinstall JAWS, then in view of the circumstances, and in order to have a properly functioning JAWS when it is reinstalled, you will do best to remove everything associated with JAWS. (By 'everything' I do *not* mean the activation key; that stays on your hd.) All folders in the JAWS version. ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Paul Dromey" <pdromey@xxxxxx> To: <vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, June 03, 2013 9:54 PM Subject: [vicsireland] Re: Retrieving Default Eloquence rofiles For JAWS > Hi Gerry and Tim. > > No, Gerry, I haven't changed that file or any others in that general > area. > > Yes Tim, barring any flash of inspiration from anyone ot=ut there, I > suppose I will have to do a re-install. > > Thanks to you both > > -----Original Message----- >>From: vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Tim Culhane > Sent: 03 June 2013 21:44 > To: vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [vicsireland] Re: Retrieving Default Eloquence rofiles For > JAWS > > Hi Paul, > > Don't know why it would be radical, but I think just re installing > Jaws would be the simplest and most painless option. > > Tim > > > -----Original Message----- >>From: vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Paul Dromey > Sent: 03 June 2013 20:58 > To: vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [vicsireland] Re: Retrieving Default Eloquence rofiles For > JAWS > > Yes Gerry but I'm hoping to avoid it if there are any other > possibilities. > > Thanks again > > > > -----Original Message----- >>From: vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Gerry Ellis > Sent: 03 June 2013 20:39 > To: vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [vicsireland] Re: Retrieving Default Eloquence rofiles For > JAWS > > Hi, > > A bit radical maybe, but have you considered ree-installing JAWS? > > > Take care, > > Gerry Ellis > > If you don't know where you're going, > How will you know when you get there? > > -----Original Message----- >>From: vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Paul Dromey > Sent: 03 June 2013 18:14 > To: vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [vicsireland] Re: Retrieving Default Eloquence rofiles For > JAWS > > Hi Gerry and good to hear from you. > > I went into the eloquence/6.1 folder and there are no recent dates > there in any of its component files to coincide with the changes I > made installing real speak solo voices.
