Ok, this is really my own opinion and I would really appreciate it if someone could proove me wrong but I have a 20GB Iriver IH120 and its the biggest and most expensive piece of rubbish I've ever placed my hands on! Ok, that's very harsh and I should really take a breath and explain why I hate it so much. The player its self is probably great but I've had nothing but bad luck with the Rockbox software! It randomly freezes, I cant get it to record and for some reason I cant make the voice file from this computer for the latest version. The voice files available on the rockbox site are for much earlier versions of the rocbox software. Again, Please proove me wrong. I'd be very happy to get regular use out of my Iriver again but, if no one can shed any light on these problems I really wouldn't advise any one to buy one. I know someone having great success with the archoes so you might want to take a look at that instead. it is also supported by the rockbox software. For day to day use I use a 1GB Ipod shuffle. Its very small, light and the sound quality is quite good. It doesn't have any text to speech software but it doesn't need any. It is the size of a lighter and has no screen. I use the anapod explorer software to copy music across to it. Let me know if you have any questions. or better again, any solution to my Iriver problems. Given the euro dollar rate at the moment that is a huge saving on buying it here in Ireland. All you need to get in addition, is a basic US to UK/ireland power adapter for use when charging the player. While I have yet to see it, a friend purchased it today and is raving about it in terms of ease of use. It can take rockbox, speech software, freely available, and is an excellent recorder. It boasts a 30 gig hard drive and is, in the main, fully accessible. I don't like the idea of the Mildstone because it is a specialist product, and goes against the principles of universal design.
