Can we get a look at the fail log?
It wouldn't be the first time there was a weird thing-- I have to add
"-lpthread -ltinfo" to CMAKE_EXE_LINKER_FLAGS (or similar) because of the
way the linker is configured in funtoo... It's just a thing, this must be
another :P

Just a quick heads-up - I built 1.5.5rc1 on my desktop PC just now,
running a
recently installed LinuxMint 18.2 "Sonya" (though I manually updated to
cmake
3.9.6). Everything just fine here, LV2 plugin is installed in correct
folder,
no problems at all.
