It's quite possible neither are responsible for this, and he has some quirk

waiting to hear back. It's already been confirmed that it's OK with BSD.
There's still the mystery of static FLTK being pulled in-- was it also
using that for 1.5.4.1?? This time it just happened to be the first
one to show us that -ldl wasn't getting pulled in anymore by whatever
did before. Nuke the entire site from orbit recently? ;)
