Hi Will, guess I didn't explain myself correctly. First of all I did go to the 
state menu to reload it but it didn't save any in the first place so none to 
select and load. I also tried saving as default with same result. Now as I 
mentioned earlier, after creating a new bank root and importing a couple of 
banks I had managed to edit and save the hammond organ then added the Dynfilter 
then later removed it but now I try to add it to any instrument and it crashes. 
Tried deleting the file and even reinstall Yoshimi with the help of Synaptic 
from Hermans ppa and it's still doing it 🙁

This might sound silly, but I take it that when restarting Yoshimi you *did*
then go to the States menu and reload it?

And the other issue now where it crashes when I try to add back the Dynfilter
to the instrument is really weird.

I know exactly what the cause is, and it's oversight. In most cases if you try
to operate a learned control that refers to something that doesn't currently
exist, the command will simply be quietly ignored until such time as the item
is reinstated. But among all the other error checks, part effects were
forgotten.

Now Banks is almost all done, I'll start work on correcting this - it's marked
at the top of my TODO list!
