Well that turned out to be interesting. Updated document attached.
I thought I'd better do a completely fresh start myself just to check
things.... and discovered that what I thought happened didn't, and never has
done!
I've altered the text to reflect reality until such time as I can work out
what is going on.
When you first start up, you have an empty instrument bank window, although the
drop-down list appears to show Arpeggios. This is simply because the list has
to show something and that's the first entry. Now if (without touching anything
else) you click on the Bank icon, you'll see there is *no* current directory.
Select one, or from the original drop-down seem to change it by selecting
another and everything works properly from then on.
Ah-hah you think. No current directory so stands-to-reason (tm). Well it's not
quite as simple as that.
Start again from scratch. Observe blank window. Close without changing or saving
anything, then restart... Magically there is Arpeggios in all it's glory !!!
At this moment of time I have no idea what's going on, but the guide now shows
the simplest way to get round it, and an explanation of sorts.
