Hello all,

I recently aquired an AKAI MPK61 midi controller keyboard. I am a fan of
Linux (Ubuntu Studio) and I would like to use Yoshimi in a live performance
in our "Mozart ROCKS" concerts in Romania (there are some videos on U tube).
It seems that for the moment, just a few parameters ( cutoff frecquency
ctrol 74 and 5, 6 more ) are available for changing through MIDI interface.
Is there a chance in the future that Yoshimi might allow voice parameter
controlling (LFO's and ADSR envelope) through external MIDI controller?

Thanks in advance,
Teo

Hello Teo,

Yoshimi has been forked in the past for this purpose. You might want to
take a look at it: https://github.com/licnep/yoshimi
It's based on the Yoshimi experimental branch though so you've been
warned ;)

This is something I really was hoping someone would back-port to the 'official'
branch. Even without the (contentious) bank and patch selection we need to have
more controls exposed to MIDI, and if at all possible MIDI-learn.

Had I been able to do the presentation at LAC this was something I was going to
mention in the Q&A at the end of the session to see if we could maybe pick up
an interested dev.

I'm really very frustrated about not being able to get there at all :(

I'm even more frustrated about not being able to do any of the coding myself :((

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
