Hi Clive,

I've taken a look at this and, whilst it looks attractive in some respects, I know I have heard of one that you can select which message you want to hear, so I'm still looking. I think the other thing is that you can't use an earphone. I haven't ruled it right out as yet and thanks for the suggestion.

I'd be interested to know how loud the speaker volume is. (Presumably it doesn't alter.)

Hello carol,

I have the Deluxe Wilson recorder, available from the braille Bookstore in
Canada:

www.braillebookstore.com

This pocket-size device makes very clear recordings in wav format, records up
to 6 hours in standard play, 12 hours in long play and can be connected to a
computer for transferring recordings using the included standard USB cable.
It has an optional belt clip and an earpiece which has a non-standard plug
(you cannot use headphones with a 3.5mm plug). Once you have made a
recording, it plays the latest one first. Also, you cannot skip through a
recording. You cannot pause recording but you can pause playback.

I can send you full specs off list.

Best wishes,

Clive pallett
