You have to hit an icon to make sure vo is talking at the time when you change the volume, if you don't and just press up and down only the volume of the iPod changes hope this is of some help.

Hi Barry, I know it's simple and unlikely but have you checked that the
volume is up?Might be worth just using the buttons to try and increase
it or swipe upwards to do the same? Think this has happened to someone
else and this was the issue. Take care!

Subject: [access-uk] I-phone 4 Voice over stopped working

Hi all

Ok, got my 'Getting started with the I-phone' daisy book, and I was
rocking
and rolling. I turned off last night but when I turned it back on this
morning there was no voice over. I took it to Carphone Warehouse and they
told me that it is showing as being on. I've done a restore using
I-tunes,
then tried turning voice over on using I-tunes, but still nothing. Is it
faulty software?

Cheers

Barry
