Hi Kevin,
Just to say, I don't use K1000 for MP3 conversion either. For those
interested, I use Text Aloud from http://www.nextup.com. It makes much
cleaner MP3 files, does it faster, and basically, you don't get these
errors.

What voice did you use?
I have stopped using K1000 for converting text to MP3 as I have gotten this
error message lots of times.
their are known issues using the realspeak voices their is a sort of fix for
this I can't remember what it was.
But the good folks from K1000 will help you they did me, but the problem
keeps happening so I don't use K1000 for converting text to MP3 any more all
the best.
