Hello Jackie,

That's more what I mean by built-in rather than bolted-on: "Let's design a 
product that'll work properly for everyone", rather than: "Let's design a 
product, then think about how to make it accessible"
It's not necessarily about whether it uses creenreaders or whether it speaks 
already.

And how do manufacturers make sure their solutions aren't half-baked? How about 
working with us from early on in the design stage.

Well, it appears there is some debate about whether the Olympus DM 7 talks file 
names as some say it does, while the one I have seen definitely doesn't.  
Confused or what? (smile).  In my view, they should all speak everything, then 
we know what to buy.
