Hi Andy, not sure about your N82 query, but yes all O2 Pay and Go customers are restricted to basic web access over GPRS. However, with a programme like Proxifier I can somewhat bypass this restriction, however it keeps losing the connection every 10 minutes, except for web browsing it appears, and I can't access secure (https) sites, like my online banking site. Will be interesting what internet access I'll get when I try out Simplicity though. Hope this helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andy Collins" <andy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Subject: [access-uk] Phone contracts with O2

Hi all

O2 seem to be the only provider offering the N82 on contract. Have people on
here good or bad experiences with this provider?

I think Chris Hallsworth is with them and experienced internet access
restriction issues.

I want to be able to access my email, use Wayfinder Access, and brows the
web, will O2 let me do this, or do they have restrictions limiting users to their own GPRS. I'm not fully sure of the difference between GPRS as a means of web access, and internet access as a connection point, so I hope somebody
can answer these questions, and help me understand the GPRS VS internet
access.

Thanks -

Andy
