Hi Andy

My son took out one of the O2 30-day opt-out contracts last year, but didn't like it and returned to O2 Pay-As-You-Go. With the contract, he could have 500 free texts per month and 600 free minutes. But they messed up his billing date, which I had to sort out as I was the account holder since he is still under 18. Then he couldn't easily phone a free number to find out how many texts or minutes he had remaining as he could do with his top-up service. He got so fed up, and frankly so did I, that he terminated the contract and went back to what he had before with the same company.

I'm not alone in saying O2 aren't the most helpful in-store network either, which always counts for a lot with me when people are assistive and friendly.

You might have better luck though, but I personally don't like O2 Customer Services. Sorry to sound negative, but they aren't my favourite network by a long way.

Jackie

Subject: [access-uk] Phone contracts with O2

Hi all

O2 seem to be the only provider offering the N82 on contract. Have people on
here good or bad experiences with this provider?

I think Chris Hallsworth is with them and experienced internet access
restriction issues.

I want to be able to access my email, use Wayfinder Access, and brows the
web, will O2 let me do this, or do they have restrictions limiting users to their own GPRS. I'm not fully sure of the difference between GPRS as a means of web access, and internet access as a connection point, so I hope somebody
can answer these questions, and help me understand the GPRS VS internet
access.

Thanks -

Andy
