RAILCARD SITE AGAINHi,

I'm now on the user panel that ATOC are setting up, as mentionned on In Touch,
so I'll press on this kind of thing when I get a chance. So far though, they
have been very good. They asked lots of questions about walking aids in the
application form for the panel, but nothing relevant to visual impairment, so I
mentionned this and they said they would include things like finding out if
people are totally blind or partially sighted, or if they use a guide dog or
cane. They want to have representation of as wide a range of disabled travelers
as possible, so I pointed out the differences in the issues we face.

Cheers
Dave

Following my enquiry to ATOC's head of inclusion and accessibility, here's
his response. I'd asked him to put a text version of the form up as an
alternative to PDF and also wondered why it wasn't possible to apply online.
He says:

Ian, I will get a word version of the form organised. As for online ren
ewals at the moment there is v.low demand for this - but we are monitoring the
situation. At the moment the cost of providing the facility outweigh the
benefits.
