That's interesting, and good news.

Someone was saying though that RNIB wasn't interested in challenging
what appeared to be the less than accomodating attitude of those
providing EDCL courses.

Reading through my sister's course material Certainly the content
didn't seem over-challenging to me, though I'd be hard pressed to
answer the four things the CPU does in a computer - that being one of
the questions.

Hope you have some success with getting to do an ECDL.

Cheers,

Hi Jim

Success on the ECDL level 1 modules on theory, file management and
internet and email is relatively straightforward. Level 2 which is
word
processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation is a bit more
challenging regarding complexity and the amount of knowledge needed.

All the exams are available in Braille, large print and audio. I
haven't
any experience of these formats.

Best wishes

Naomi

Hi Ray,

What surprises me is that the institution that produces ecdl modules
hasn't
been inundated with complaints from vi users and legal notices from
whoever
enforces the DDA legislation.
