Paul,
Are you running a full flight computer on these rockets? It might be
nice to use a DPST switch so you could use the extra set of contacts to
sense the switch position. Then you can check it via telemetry before
launch.

That looks like a nice switch!
This is a switch for the recovery system, the other avionics are 100% separate
, I'm just looking for how to ARM recovery when its on the rail and ready to go...

These are great switches. Simple and reliable. Standard for my

For more-or-less standard HPR type rockets, something like this

I'm working on a small HPR (I-L) that will use one to connect the
apogee deployment charge once the rocket is vertical on the pad
(will power avionics on during vehicle assembly on the flightline
to establish GPS lock). They're super durable and tough, unlike
the featherweight screw switches (the soldered on nut can pop off
if you're heavy handed, and Phillips head screws suck) or most
miniature switches from electronics stores (which don't carry
high current well).
Ordering them from Canada via DHL is an annoyance... but the CAD
is free to download, it wouldn't be hard to make your own.

I'm rebuilding the avionics bay on my box stock HPR
I use this rocket to test GPS and IMU's......
Its had about 40 flights and the avionics bay is getting
tired....
I'm going to rebuild the avionics bay and was wondering what
to use
as arming switches...
On Sunday Out at Far I saw someone loose a really nice rocket
because
he believes his recovery arming switch failed....
I'm not real happy with the arming switches I have on this
rocket....
What do people like for arming switches?
I was contemplating building some FET switches that turn On when
a jumper is removed, so the mechanical failure mode is on,
not off...
Seems like unneeded added complications.....
On my Blue and silver I had no switches the Avionics were
turned on by connecting the battery.
connector....
I'm less fond of that approach when pyro charges and pressure
changes from sliding
sections together are involved....
