I thought one of the limits to battery life was the number of cycles. How long do batteries last if they are cycled every 90 minutes?

Depends on *how deeply* they are cycled. The more cycles you want to put on them, the shallower each cycle can be, although the exact relationship depends a little on the exact battery technology. If you want to put a *lot* of cycles on them, e.g. for a long-lived LEO satellite, you might end up using only 10-20% of the nominal capacity of your battery -- which means it weighs a lot more than you might naively expect.
