That is correct now that you mention it. A cute little MMH/NTO motor with
spherical propellant tanks.
Since it's in our discussion, to elaborate, the assemble comprised of 6-8
forward facing ducts, approx 6-8" diameter connecting the forward motor
closure
radially thru the side of the forward skirt, and it did indeed use a non
reversible pyrotechnic/explosive means of actuation.
Perhaps a non destructive way of retrieving the motor/payload during a test
shot,as Anthony suggested, and not a production motor.
Some research into the achieves may reveal its purpose.

Doesn't seem precise enough though vs the 560&&1000 LbF verniers on a Thor
or Atlas which creep up to the target V.

That's what I thought, an engineering challenge to say we did it. Going
back to the 60's, at CSD I saw a Minuteman stage 3 with thrust
termination/cancelling ports, no restarting though.
