The hypergolic combo does make the injector design and ignition easier, so
it’s particularly suitable for a project that’s centrally NOT a rocket
project.
I also designed and built a torch igniter for Rosco that burnt the same
LOx/Kero propellants with the LOx put through a heat exchanger to make GOx.
He had it all handed to him but just got cryogenic feet. Sure wouldn't want
to be in that thing in a crash, NO2 vapors,acid on your skin/eyes, yikes!
