For those of us without tenure, we have to rely on our principal's "word" that the hours promised will actually be given. I was promised 19 hours in May and have just been informed that I'm only being given 8. So now I'm forced with either finding another school to top up my hours (with all the problems that brings) or look for work outside of teaching.
