Good idea but it has been my experience to get very good references  tete la
tete..ok I failed French!!... which ended up being not all that truthful...
       I once had a principal  who gave excellent references for teachers he
wanted to get rid of..and even had such a reputation "around town"  that
other schools didn't bother to ask him....a rea; pity for the qualified
teachers who wanted to leave his school!!!   jesg
