Hear , hear Nina!  By the way, we already tested oral Bagrut in the winter
Bagrut and students without projects because of sanctions were tested on
literature they had done.
I would like to remind everyone that the projects are just supposed to be a
springboard for starting a conversation.  It is the oral skills of the students
we are grading, not the project.  So, go ahead and let them tell you about a
book they have read or a movie they have seen or a piece of literature they
have studied in class.  If they can present that and then have you ask them
some questions about it, they deserve their 60% project grade - and it can be
graded with EXACTLY the same rubric as the project presentation and interaction.
As Nina said - we are all colleagues and WE are the ones testing, not the
Ministry!  Sarah

If the ministry isn't prepared to honor teachers who are following Irgun
instructions, then I propose that we teachers take matters into our own
hands.
I, for one, WILL NOT penalize a student whose teacher has followed irgun
instructions.  I will "doctor" the grade so that the students' grade on the
interview becomes the whole oral grade.  I'm saying this openly and I
earnestly urge my fellow teachers to do the same.
If the ministry objects, let them take me to court!!!!!  I'm prepared to
fight for both teachers and students.
My students are due to be tested soon.  Let any teacher dare fail them
because they haven't done projects - I will raise merry hell!!!!
Come on, teachers, we are the ones who test, not the ministry!!!

Nina
