In response to Mitzi's critique of the Irgun letter, I'd like to point out
that we ARE "being forced" to take the hishtalmut because the directive of the
Inspectorate is that we cannot teach the F Lit Module (reading log option )
without taking the course, no matter how much experience we've had teaching for
Bagrut and/or in teaching Lit.
Also, although I certainly respect and value the opinion of all the very
experienced teachers who have done the pilot program (including Mitzi, Aviva,
etc.), I don't think that should stop us from arguing for our right to
compensation for marking reading logs and giving Bagrut grades for them, for
having to take courses in the new program, and for being involved in this
exciting and innovative new program.

Demanding that we be paid for our work doesn't mean that we can't be
enthusiastic about a literature program.

Regards to all,
Evrea
