I wrote a letter to Rachela Shapir of the testing dept, asking about this. She responded that they are looking into it - and checking out all the different aspects. The fact that discmen will probably go the way of walkmen sooner than we think, means that they really should check out going directly to digital means (MP3) - or at least have it as an option parallel to discmen. But letters from the rest of you could speed up the process. (And if you have any helpful suggestions, from the field, I am sure they would appreciate that.) I suggest you write to her at: Ministry of Ed Agaf Habechinot (Testing Dept) Bldg. gimel 29 Shivtei Yisrael St. Jslm 91911 Send copies to Dr. Judy Steiner, as well. (When someone knows that you have sent it, they tend to be more answerable and responsible) Adele My question is whether the Ministry will also start moving ahead with the times and record the bagrut exams on disc? I really believe it is a growing problem which has to be faced rather than ignored. Comments anyone?
