Some ISPs actually make money by providing anti-spam and anti-virus
services
at extra fee. While I'm not saying that making money is wrong, I
suggest
comparing ISPs by the following criteria:

First of all, you go for price vs connection speed. All in all,
broadband
prices are fairly low (even compared to the US!) in Israel these days,
so if
you are still using your 56k dial-up, maybe it's time to give broadband
a
try unless you only use Internet connection for 3-4 hours a month.

Among broadband technologies, cable modem is the fastest. DSL comes
next -
in a variety of tastes, from 250K to 1.5M and higher (I doubt you need
it
any higher unless you are a sworn gamer)

Once you've settled for a specific speed parameter and found what it
costs
from Netvision, Bezeq Intl., Golden Lines, Barak, Internet Zahav and
probably a few others, start comparing their e-mail handling habits:

 e-mail inbox size
 spam filtering (no/fee-based/free)
 mail virus scanning (no/fee-based/free)

(just off my sleeve - the list is certainly not exhaustive, there
should be
 plenty of other criteria)

 Best -
