It is my belief that Sendero put out their gps app because they felt that they 
could build in some features which many blind indeviduals could use and which 
weren't already included in the other apps.  Another reason they did it was to 
make money.  Don't be fooled.  By making the statement which you did below, are 
you also saying that other blindness related gps apps aren't accessible and 
that's why they had to do it?  As has been stated many times, there are many 
gps apps which are quite accessible to us blind users and which have no 
blindness specific features.

This question seems to be popping up very often lately but here's the way I 
figure, if Google maps or any other maps were mobile friendly towards the 
blinded/visual impaired community, then there would be no need for a group like 
Sendero to put out a blind friendly GPS system.
I know there are other apps that can somewhat be useful such as that area GPS 
but it does not give you point-by-point directions like the Seeingeye GPS. I 
mean likeam I off the beaten path somewhere?
