Alex, you are exactly right. VoiceOver is screen reading technology and you
can't read screen when screen is locked or app is on background.

For that kind of need best way might be to use local notifications. Thank
you Alex for pointing out this importand need, I'll consider adding this as
a feature to BlindSquare. I already have many deafblind customers but this
would increase possibilities how they can use it.
