Charles,

Thanks for the clarification.

Hi Don,

That’s because you did save it initially during your registration when you were
asked to enter in your email address and password to save your registration,
after you hit next that did it and save everything for you. I believe now you
could go onto another of your devices and choose 'Use existing Subscription'
type in your email address and password and have the app authenticated on the
other device as well.
Thanks

Thanks Charles,

Yes your suggested additions would be good. Don't know why I'm not seeing the save
option on the subscription page within settings, but won't worry about it.
<smile>

Thanks,

Don

Hello Don,
Yes after you enter your email address and password it does take you into the app once the data is
saved. If there was an issue you would have got an error message, but I agree we need to bring up
a "warm fuzzy" your subscription has been saved, and that you can use this app on your
other devices by downloading the add and using the "use existing subscription" button
with the email address and password you just entered. We also need to have a verify email and
password in case you typed it wrong.

And yes the save option won't be on the subscription page if your account has
already been saved.
Thanks

Charles,

On the subject of subscriptions on the settings screen, I registered and once
I entered the password I hit the done button in the lower right-hand corner of
the screen. I thought this would be validated and then a chance to save it.

However, it did validate but tooke me straight into the app. I did check the
subscriptions button in settings just to see if the save button was there and I
don't see it at all.
I did get a message with the expiration date for the prescription. Does this
mean that the info was saved to the phone?

Maybe the save button doesn't show up if you've already saved it.

Hello Percy,

I believe you have your subscription, sorry I didn’t realize you were
able to get into the app. If you can get into the app, your
subscription has been validated. We will fix your email address for
you and let you know when that is done.

There is an issue on all devices except the iPhone 5, that the
subscription button is not fully visible on the screen even though
Voice Over can see part of it, you must use 3 fingers to swipe up to
reveal the full setting page 2 of 2, at which point you can then
double tap on the Subscription button to see your subscription.

Sorry we saw this bug and unfortunately it didn’t make it into the
release. This will be one of the fixes for the next update.

Thanks.

Charles, I took your counsel and took the leap of faith. The three
year version is installed on my Iphone. It seems to be working well
in most areas. However, after inputting my subscription information I
made a grammatical error in my email address and was unable to
correct It neither by deletion or cancellation. The APP will not
allow me to delete my email address so that I can correct it. There
is no cancel button and start over. I called Apple tech support and
we turned the phone off and restarted it. When we returned to the
Seeing Eye APP, the subscription information was gone. It previously
gave me the option to input my information now or later in settings;
however, I went into phone settings and the Seeing Eye App setting
with no success. The Seeing Eye APP does not show up in phone
settings. The subscription button in the App settings menue does not
open when double tapped. Because of this problem, I cannot use the
App on another device or a future phone without paying the full cost again.
Please help! Many thanks for such a wonderful and promising GPS App.

Percy Garrett

Hi Wendy and all,

Depending on where you are it may take some time for the app to get
propagated to all iTunes servers. So hang tight and keep checking
the app store. Search for “Seeing Eye GPS” should find the product
if it’s in your iTunes server. I was able to find it after a couple
hours, and it took Mike an extra hour for him to see it, so it is
making its way out to everyone it just will take a little time.

Also if anyone is having any issues with the product hold off calling
Sendero as we are getting flooded with calls. We will be sending out
a formal press release shortly with links to the manual and the email
address you should use if you have any issues.

Thanks.

But the app doesn't show up in the App Store.

Hello Michael and all,

I appreciate that everyone would like to try the app first before
purchasing it, but we currently do not have a way to offer a demo.
Maybe this will be one of the features we should work on next.

Unfortunately Michael, the end user license agreement prohibits users
from sharing the app with others, if they do not only is it a
violation of the end user license agreement, not to mention Apples
own license agreement, but you would be taking up a slot of the # of
devices they can install their app on.

If you are worried about the performance then please wait and see how
others like the app first. We have had over 100 beta testers testing
the app and all of them were very impressed with the performance and
the level of detail on how we describe intersections, and guide you
along your route just like we do with all our other Sendero GPS products.

We waited over a year until Sendero was satisfied it met our own
standards of excellence before we submitted the app, and we are hard
at work on the next version.

We will also get user’s feedback in the form of a online poll to
allow users to vote on which features they want to see in the product
next, stay tuned for that announcement.

Sendero has been making accessible GPS products now for over 13
years, we know what our users want, how it should be spoken, what
should be spoken first etc. The product will only get better over
time, so take the leap of faith as so many others have. Gil Luts and
Bob Sweetman did over 13 years ago and invested in Strider a backpack
GPS solution that was soldered together by myself, and now we have an
app in the palm of your hand that would run circles around that 15 pound
backpack.

Thanks.

Is there someone off list to whom people could write to give feedback.

For myself, I’d be willing to pay $6.00 for one month of subscription.
This is slightly more than $69.00 a year, but would let me test the
app without sinking tons of money into it. It would also allow people
with very limited incomes to purchase a month’s subscription when
they could afford to do so.

I would hate to see this list cluttered with responses by people who
either hotly disagree or agree with this idea, but I’d love to know
where to send this suggestion in the hopes it could be implemented
and others could benefit in the future.
