Howard,

We had a discussion with a top official with Tele Atlas this morning about this issue. The good news is that because of this email thread and our conversation, collecting traffic light data for use by blind and sighted users is now on their radar. We may be a small market but we are a vocal one and they heard us loud and clear.

Look how well Mike has figured out this issue compared to my old reactionary stance. My hat is humbly off to you. I never thought of it from the sighted prospective, which after all, is the market. We piggyback on their data for our own uses. You are way ahead of me. I guess I better stop herumphing about We never needed it, why do we need it now. Oh well, I resisted the microwave, the computer, and I still preffer Morse code to voice ham radio.
Guilty as charged. I have to stop and turn over my 33.3 rpm record.
