Hi Kevin, only problem is that the place is right on Bridge Way in Sausalito. I mean you can park six feet outside the front door. So what's with that?? As Bridge Way is the main drag through Sausalito that doesn't make sense that vehicles can't go there. I'd say the system is prejudice against bars, but that's not the case I know! Thanks, Jim

Jim,Well, it looks like Charles was dead on with his thought and why wouldn't he be? It is his program and his creation after all. I set my Explore Position to the Lat/Lon and used the Detailed City Command, which is SPACE with C onthe BT and READ with C on the QT. It reported "Terminal, El Monte Ln...""Terminal" means that it is limited to pedestrian access, which means it isnot possible to create vehicle routes to and from this point. This is very similar to trying to create a pedestrian route along a highway. It lookslike you have already found a work-around for this issue, which was to finda Nearby POI. Good Good luck. It seems an insignificant problem, but if it happens a lot, I guess it isn't. The name of the place is the No Name Bar and it is on Bridg Way in Sausalito which is definitely a navigable road, unless of course, you've had too much to drink while you were at the No Name! I did set a commercial Poi as my destination which was near The No Name and it created a vehicle route successfully. I was riding in a car on the way to the place when trying to create this route. Chances are that the POI is near a road which is not navigable and so when you try to create a routetoit, it finds that road and says that no route can be created there. Either that or the road is only navigable by pedestriansandyou are trying to create a vehicle route to it.Thanks CharlesAt 11:05 PM 10/26/2008, you wrote:Hi Charles, I was trying to create a route with a user poi as my destination. The route was not particularly long, maybe 30 or 40 miles long. My Mpower said unable to create route. I did a conventional reset and the problem persisted. I decided to set another destination near the first one but this time using a commercial poi. That time, the route creation worked. Couldthisbe a bug or what. I retried creating the route with my original user poi destination when I was within 1 mile of that destination and again, it was unable to create the route. So the systemdoesn'tlike that particular user poi. Any suggesttions or thoughtsaboutthis? Thanks, JimCharles M. La Pierre CTO Sendero Group "The GPS company."
