OK, I have responded off list to others and since there seems to be a question about the purpose of this list. I'll try to explain. This list is provided by Sendero Group and is monitored by this provider. We do ask that the users keep to the GPS subjects. Many users have requested that this list is used for this subject only. Again I am requesting that the users of this list keep on subject. I think that this Airline subject has been over used and to continue this thread is not productive. If users like to continue the subject please do, but off list. I would like the answer to that one as well. I was under the impression that this was a list to discuss GPS technology for the blind in general, not simply a product support list. Hi Carl, You lost me. Is the subject to be dealt with only to be "Sendero", any GPS system, or GPS of any type for blind users? Please advise. Hi Andy, I too am a ham radio operator, WD8POF. I was licensed back when one had to go to a federal examination station like Norfolk, VA. I suppose it would be enlightening but you can't get off the plane in mid flight to see Boot Hill. TE HE I have applied for the Trekker through the Veterans Administration. I want it for ground use where getting lost is a real possibility. Hi leon, Well, as a ham I have read about moon bounce, but I have never done it, and do not know anyone who has done it, but I would think that people do it just to see if they can. As for using GPS in flight, well, I guess there is no real need to do it, but, again, it would be neat to know exactly where you are, especially on a long flight. I get bored on plane trips, and can't afford First Class, so sleeping is out of the question. (SMILE)! Andy -- No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
