I have seen a 4gb sd card that was not hc and worked fine with my bnmp, but then the contact strips on the bottom fell off and the card became unusable.

Have a great day,
Alex

update

I've never seen an SD card be 4 gb or more and not be an SDHC
card, but
I'm willing to be corrected if necessary. It's my understanding
that
anything from 4 gb on up to the current 16 gb size are all sdhc
cards
which BTW, the Voice Sense and Braille Sense Plus will use
without
problems <smile>.

No, not anything above 4GB is necessarily high-capacity. I've
seen some
standard SD cards at 4GB and 8GB. So, you need to make sure it
has the HC
designation if you want high-capacity.
