does Ubuntu solves the problem of a common man?
I mentioned ubuntu because of my experience with it. If there are
other distros which are more user-friendly than ubuntu please
enlighten me :)
This is subjective. I personally find Debian far more user
friendly, by allowing me to make my own choices more easily (hit: I do
not use KDE, Gnome, Exim, or postfix).
I also find the larger number of packages integrated and tested
in a release more user friendly, and the fact that Sid has new
packages, and not old ones like Ubuntu releases do.
Of course, this list hates voicing of opinions, under the guise
that any opinions whatsoever are "divisive" or somehow unfriendly, so
I fully expect to be flamed for voicing an opinion here.
