Dear Girish;
?Is the structure of Unix OS very different from Linux? Presume various bash
and
variants thereof function as the interface. Is there a steep learning curve?
Can one run WM's of
ones choice with tailormade functionality? Is it hardware intensive??
I am sure I can google the answers but my enthusiasm has a way of getting

WMs of one's choice? Yes, UNIX has all the window managers that Linux
has. What is hardware intensive?
Linux is hardware intensive yes.
OpenBSD is the best OS to run on old low capability hardware.
It is very simple logic. If you want good things in life you have to
work for it.
No shortcut to glory.
