Is that really necessary to release source code? If so how skype
messenger,
some propitiatory games like Penumbra Black plague, Braid, Osmos are
released for Linux without source code?

it is not necessary - only distros like Fedora or debian will not
distribute the software or put it in their repos. Some other distros are
not so particular.

You don't have to release the source code. I don't see point of pushing 
M$ office on Linux.
