Can't this list be moderated. So that this sort of messages do not get passed

It would be a big burden on the moderator. If he does not moderate
within short intervals, messages will get queued and be delivered late.
Distribution of load by each one of us deleting a few mails daily, IMHO
is faster. Remember this is honorary work and so will get attention
during spare and not prime time.
I'd loathe a moderating job if all I was doing was deleting spam mails.
