just read through the excellent presentation. a few suggestions:
a) please publish this under an FDL or similar copyleft license, on a public
repository with sourcefiles, so others may contribute and enrich this
further.
b) please add video-edit software such as kino. camcoders are becoming
digital commodities.
c) show openclipart.org, as well as galleries of openoffice.org templates
from the web.
d) show migration from windows, how contacts, emails, bookmarks, and other
data flies in.
e) google-earth on the desktop. i now this is not a foss software, so
perhaps you could show maps in the browser.
f) a digital photo of a computer booting with gnulinux on a thumbdrive.
g) shots of foss events in india: this to show the vibrant and growing
community around foss.
h) since this is targeted to academia, hence a bit more on learning
management systems, moodle, schoolforge, etc. this usually works as a pretty
solid clincher in academia, from my experience.
i) finally, my favourite screenshot: solitaire. this gets a few chuckles and
laughs, but everyone tends to identify with this, and this eases everyone's
attitude towards gnulinux as a desktop: yes! it can be used for frivolous
and fun stuff as well.
j) i would change the amarok screenshot to show the genres of net
radio-stations by genre.
