That's 100% correct.. I too have experienced it.. the professors and
lecturers currently, wish to improve on their knowledge, that would
enhance their career, rather than their technical capability.. This
is majorly due to the fact that the professors were simply expected to
deliver information rather than solutions.
But, let's consistently strike the rock.. it will give in some days :)
.. i am doing that.. whenever i find opportunities, i just speak about
various FOSS softwares, trying to map their requirements.
For now, we can go with atleast the developers here. FOSSCONF would
be a preliminary for such developers meet, i feel.
