[Ilugc] samsung cell phone and linux

trying to access files - when connecting a nokia, one gets some options
like camera, mass storage etc on the phone. Choosing mass storage does
the trick. Here there is no such menu on the phone (s5600)
I'm using Samsung M3510 which has an option to change the mode of connection
at Settings->PC Connections. I hope all the phones will have some option or
the other to change the mode. If the mode of connection is set to "Mass
storage" the filesystem of the mobile and memory cards, if any will be
mounted automatically. You can set the mode to "Ask on connection" if you
want to connect the mobile phone to system for various purposes.
(Sorry to talk about a mobile phone in a LUG mailing list. Anyway it might
help the OP to access the files in a mobile phone from GNU/Linux).
