Hi Donald: 1. I can confirm that in the search tab of MSDN after specifying a keyword and pressing enter, that I hear the system beep as you describe. 2. I do not hear any system beeps when tabbing twice on to the search list and arrowing through the list. I am using Jaws 10.0.1142 update. I suggest that you try running Jaws10 with the /default command option. This will insure that Jaws runs with the factory default settings under your all users folder. If you continue to hear the beeps, then I suggest that they are occurring as a result of some local configuration specific to your system. Perhaps you are wise not too update yet. I have seen some improvements in responsiveness with these releases. Unfortunately, I have also experienced some serious stability issues! JAWS simply crashes without any apparent reason at least once a day. Sometimes, the only application I have running is Windows Mail. Due to the timing, I wonder if FS has incorporated some fundamental architectural change required or desired to support 64 bit Windows? Don Marang ----- Original Message ----- From: "E.J.
