[jawsscripts] Re: Screen Res with Jaws, plus HSC and builtin graphics location considerations

HI Gian.

Yep, I too have seen this very disconcerting behaviour, of jaws navigating
to a graphic, maybe with jaws+Left/Right Arrows,
and then you go to hit Jaws+NumPad5 to doubleCheck it's number etc,
and it just says, "Blank."
Drives me crazy when it does that!
Sometimes ScreenRefresh with jaws+Escape may or may not bring it back to
jaws+5. "very dodgy," as we say here in Australia.

I haven't ever personally identified/tested though myself,
whether Screen Res has any effect on this behaviour.
All I know is, I dislike it with a passion!
And it is most disturbing to me!

What the other guy reported also, about jaws seeing more stuff when his Vid
card died, confirms what I've also suspected. That there probly are
differences here, even though technically, I'd have thought Jaws would've
flipped it's little FsVid hook, in the chain before handing things off to
the Graphics card for processing.
But, perhaps not?

What Jackie has observed is also, of course, quite true, and well worthy of
consideration/testing. I.e. wander around with the invisible cursor and see
if you see as much of this Graphics OSM unreliability/weirdness going down,
as you do with the jaws Cursor. And please report back to us upon your
findings.
I'm sure we'd all be grateful to know.

My only caveat to add to Jackie's would be, that although graphics often
indeed can change/alter their given enunciated number as one hovers over
them with the mouse, compared to what they report when the mouse isn't
hovering over them, and then quite possibly change again when clicked on
etc,
MY take is, that this sstill doesn't adequately account for them just
turning into blanks, or being skipped over entirely the next traverse of the
line with navigation keys. Which I think is more the behaviour your
reporting here, and which I too have certainly observed.
Is that right?

However, I would add, that this possible Alteration of graphics
numbers/states, between jaws and invisible cursors, has distinct relevance,
when using either HSC's, or I suspect the jaws own builtIn also, find
Graphics procedures.
I'm pretty sure HSC's method would use the invisible cursor to do the
looking, and then flip the jaws cursor to it if found.
Jim, could you confirm this?

Because of course, This would mean, that if you were to be
looking for either a specifically unlabelled numbered graphic,
or one that had been labelled whilst the jaws cursor was over it, and then
trying to find that with either process, if my suspicion was correct, and
the invisible cursor is used to do the traversing,
then of course it may never be found!
Because, that particular state graphic, which only appears in that spot when
jaws cursor is hovering there, and then for a given time period also, would
not exist in the current OSM.

Hope that makes sense.
