That article was posted in July. I thought the question as regarding
where people heard that a new version of Itunes would be coming out in
October. This is an example of one place. For more recent information,
go ahead and use Google.

Eddy Cue the VP of Internet Software from Apple, announced that there
would be a new iTunes, AKA iTunes 11, released in October. This was
announced on September 12 as part of the iPhone 5 and IOS 6

These were just the first links I found to articles that very clearly
referred to Apple's announcement that a new iTunes would be coming out
in October. Speaking of research, anyone can use Google to find these
and many other articles. ;-)
