Bert, your like a dog with a bone, in your zeal to defend VSB you simply
will not let go, even when the discussion has changed in your direction. I
had, and do, agree with you that the newest VSB receivers are likely good
enough to do the job but also observed that they are generally unavailable,
which is a critical step in actually getting the job done (this is fact). My
other statement; that it has taken way too long and cost us eight years,
shouldn't cause an argument, it is also fact. We would be way ahead of the
game by adopting COFDM and that too, is fact, which your verbosity can not
change.

However, as I said, I'm past that issue and would like to at least get the
DTV transition jump started with an infusion of large numbers of these new
receivers. However, there is another thing upon which we agree; there are
seemingly other economic forces preventing that from happening.
