Broadcasters didn't use to be concerned about this because their business model was "broadcast" and getting viewers a better picture was good. Now they aren't concerned because these numbers are small and shrinking. But if some Aereo-like company found a way to make money by moving masses of viewers back to actual OtA viewing--even in a very conventional sense--broadcasters would be livid.

Funny how the number of minutes of commercials per hour is higher now than it was in the pure broadcast era.
