Well I must admit, I am not really familiar with how much or little of the NAB 
code the Nets follow.  

I also realize we are getting the TV programming the majority has clammord for, 
at least according to focus groups and audience measurement.  All that is of 
questionable accuracy, in my mind.

I do strongly feel that even though we are adults we shouldn't always get what 
we want.  
I think with the right to exclusive use of  RF spectrum, there is a moral 
responsiblilty to try to inflluence society to improve it's overall cultrue 
rather than pandering to the desire to be tittilated.

I must congratulate the TV nets for actually doing that with quite a lot of 
programming.  Some prime programs do carry good moral messages.  

I truely believe in a free market society, but also feel the need for some 
gov't regulation.  Look at the chaos of bankrupt airlines that has resulted 
largely from the de-commishioning of the Civil Aeronautics Board.
