Well I must admit, I am not really familiar with how much or little of the NAB code the Nets follow. I also realize we are getting the TV programming the majority has clammord for, at least according to focus groups and audience measurement. All that is of questionable accuracy, in my mind. I do strongly feel that even though we are adults we shouldn't always get what we want. I think with the right to exclusive use of RF spectrum, there is a moral responsiblilty to try to inflluence society to improve it's overall cultrue rather than pandering to the desire to be tittilated. I must congratulate the TV nets for actually doing that with quite a lot of programming. Some prime programs do carry good moral messages. I truely believe in a free market society, but also feel the need for some gov't regulation. Look at the chaos of bankrupt airlines that has resulted largely from the de-commishioning of the Civil Aeronautics Board.
