Old fashioned thinking? Like use of that most ancient of devices, the wheel?

The real problem is that all forms of government eventually gravitate into
feudelism.

As long as we continue to vote for legislators that manage to get the most
funding from the rich and powerful this will happen to our precious democracy.

TV is a tool of the rich and powerful. It is basicly a powerful marketing
tool. This will be the same, no matter if it is delivered by traditional OTA
broadcasters, Cable, Satellite, Telco, Cell phones, the Internet or by
brainwaves.
It will remain a mass media, because the public will watch the best funded,
slikest most interesting productions no matter what. All these new and
competing sources of TV will fragment the audience somwhat, of course, just as
the choice of over 200 channels on cable has. But the primary network programs
still draw the great majority of viewers.

It is not about the FCC. It is about the way John Q public exercise their free
choice. And how very easily manipulated they are.

Bummer!!

Tony
