Not sure how accurate your observation is, Terry.  For example, from what I
recall, the FIRST generation Mitsubishi receiver had a proprietary video
interface.  Also, I'm not sure that Sony has had more than 2 retail models,
but their FIRST generation design was a separate box that integrated only
with their 34" widescreen.

We'd really need model numbers to know what generation they are.  If there's
no newer model from that vendor, then it's a current model.
