This is not what I understand that Comcast is doing. 

They have deployed a large number of STBs, like the Motorola box John has, that 
receive VOD content via the ISP side of the business. They are expanding this 
further with X-1, moving the program guide and other new Internet based 
services to the IP side of the plant.

No doubt some companies are using the Internet to move assets to the VOD 
servers on the QAM side of the plant, but this does not scale well unless you 
significantly reduce the number of homes on a network node to free up video 
bandwidth for more VOD streams.

The Streampix service is delivered via IP. To the best of my knowledge there 
are no smartphones or tablets that have coax connectors and QAM Demods.

- Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at 
FreeLists.org 

- By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word 
unsubscribe in the subject line.
