Cellcos are just pipe providers. They should stick to doing that, since their expertise in other areas is lacking to say the least. In the real world a cellco provider should work like a microbilled wifi access point -- I should be able to pick any one I want and they should compete on price and quality of signal. AT&T provides horrid customer service and signal quality. The churn would be well-deserved and I'm sure they are holding on to their derailing train for all it is worth.
