Thanks for pointing these out to us.
We're actually well aware of the first one; it's been knocking around for a
couple of years and we keep meaning to get it fixed. I seem to recall that the
source file is actually fixed, but we are looking at re-editing our old XML
files to conform to our more recent specifications, so it will take a little
time to get the first twelve books republished. The problem, believe it or not,
is a missing ampersand. It should say:
'. . . the élite of the Drakkarim . . .' which in HTML-speak should look
like: '. . . the élite of the Drakkarim . . .'
The second point is a little odd. There's definitely a continuity issue between
315 -> 226. Compare it to the parallel section 44, and there is definitely
reference made there to a 'snaky tendril' coming into view. I guess the easiest
thing to do would be to footnote this; unless our Project Coordinator can come
up with a means of adding in the appearance of the tendril to the text; but I
can't think of an easy way to do this.
Nice one! Things don't tend to get fixed immediately around here, you may
notice, but we are developing an automated system whereby an updated XML file
will automatically output a new version of the book to the website without the
need for all the time- and labour-intensive faffing around that's currently
needed. Until that day, please keep sending us any errors you spot; all issues
do get listed and stored, usually in the source files themselves, until they are
fixed.
